WHY THE SANIBEL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE?
Guiding the direction of ESOL Education
This annual conference is the only time that ESOL school district leaders and higher education professors come together to guide the direction of our profession that serve English Language Learners! When our district leaders gather, they address policy and state directives. When our college and university professors gather, they address research and theory as it related to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate education. At the Sanibel Leadership Conference, educators come together to make Florida the preeminent educational environment for theory and classroom practice.

HIGHER EDUCATION
For representatives from institutions of higher education, there will be a specialized session on behalf of college and university affiliates. This summit is for members of the Higher Education community in Florida where critical topics will be presented and discussed with time to work collaboratively toward strengthening the programs in colleges and universities.
